1974:  B.A. Magna cum laude, Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey.

            High Honors in the Department of Art and Archaeology.

            Fine Arts minor, concentrating in ceramics. 

            Studied at Princeton with Toshiko Takaezu for three and one half years.   

            Princeton University's Francis LeMoyne Page Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts.

1978:  M.F.A. in ceramics, University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon.                            

            Awarded Graduate Teaching Fellowship for two years.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1995- 2018:  Associate Professor, University of Hawaii Maui College, Kahului, Hawai`i (teaching ceramics, visual arts, art history, and sculpture).

2018-present: Instructor, Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center, Makawao, Hawai`i.

2014-present:  Art Consultant for the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.
